Paul Sutton has an amazing vocal and physical resemblance to Boy George. Paul is passionate about emulating the iconic star to the utmost and has dedicated lots of time to capturing the mannerisms and the very specific, high, soulful vocal tones that Boy George is famous for.
Paul has invested in both of the iconic looks of Boy George:
– The 80s look complete with hair braids, Jewish rabbi hat and colour explosion of make-up.
– The modern look with its oversized hat, beard and minimal, but eye catching make-up.
The “Boy Gorgeous” Show never fails to fill up the dance floor and certainly gets everyone in the full party swing. He has taken his Soul Sensation across the globe from its roots in Detroit to New York, San Francisco, Europe, Asia and the United Kingdom where he now lives, performing on land and sea. “Darren as Simply Red” is a well known tribute act throughout the world of entertainment as one of the best soundalikes to the one and only Simply Red.
Darren has been awarded The National Tribute Award 2013 from the Agents association for his amazingly acurate tribute to Simply Reds, Mick Hucknall. Darren has been performing as Mick since 1991 after appearing on, and winning, his heat in Granada Television’s “Stars In Their Eyes”. Darrens vocal tribute was hailed as “exceptional” and is often mistaken for the real thing. Darren As Mick Hucknall is still the UKs number 1 tribute to the pop legend. Our Simply Red tribute act has perfected the mannerisms and the unique sound of Simply Red and that is what makes our Simply Red tribute better than all the rest. Our Simply Red Tribute Show includes all the hit songs including ‘More’, ‘You’ve Got It’, ‘Everytime We Say Goodbye’ & ‘Holdin Back The Years’ and many more fabulous Simply Red classics from both of Mick’s multi award winning albums.Performing live at many venues across the UK and abroad over the years has given him great experience working with every type of audience.
Darren is quoted to be the NO.1 Mick Hucknall impersonator by the Simply Red Fan Club.
A White Horse celebration marking eight years of the now fully established Festival Garden, created by our dear friend Clive McNelly.
For the first time, we are hosting multiple live bands, each specializing in different music genres to create a true Party Massive atmosphere. Spanning from the 1960s to today, the Festival Garden will come alive with the sounds of Sweet Soul, Disco, Modern Rock, Classic Rock, Indie, Ska, Blues, Rock ‘n’ Roll, and Pop.
This event promises a fun-filled afternoon and evening, starting at 12:30 PM and running through to 10:30 PM. Festival food will be served from our very own Woodstock Grill until 9:00 PM.
Once all event costs are covered, a donation from ticket sales will be made to the Thames Valley Sue Ryder Charity, whose care recently proved invaluable to the White Horse community, family, and friends. We thank them immensely.
