Beyond the bustling heart of Wokingham, sits The White Horse, a traditional pub brimming with timeless charm and welcoming wags. Forget clinging ivy, here laughter echoes from a vibrant festival-themed garden, a kaleidoscope of colour and merriment spilling from its warm embrace.
Push open the creaky door, and the gentle hum of conversation blends with the clinking of glasses, the cheerful bustle of the garden, and the happy tail wags of furry friends. Inside, exposed beams criss-cross the low ceiling, casting a warm glow over mismatched wooden tables and plush sofas that beckon you and your canine companion to sink in and stay awhile. While the crackling warmth of a fireplace fills the air with a comforting glow.

It wasnt great weather so we dined inside. We passed through the lovely, music themed garden on the way into the pub and I believe they hold music events here as well. A lot of thought has gone into this and it has to be one of the quirkiest pub gardens I've seen. The interior decor was a similar theme, it isn't a huge pub so booking is probably wise at busier times. The staff were friendly and chatty and the food was good pub food. I had the scampi and chips which was very nice and there was plenty of food on the plate for all the dishes chosen. All in all a pleasant lunch and I would be happy to return. chris reid29/08/2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We held our Wake here on Tuesday 27th August 2024. Staff were friendly and very helpful, the food was fantastic, they provided a wonderful gluten free selection too. The room was superb. Thank you all so much 😀
